A lovely family with 2 children aged 4 and 2, who live in Marylebone, London, W1 are looking for a weekend housekeeper who is happy to help with childcare whenever needed. You'll be working Saturday, Sunday, Monday (three day week).
Package Offered
- £33,000 gross per year - negotiable for the right person
- Working Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- 34.5 hour working week - but more hours can be given if required each week

Family Background
A busy family with two children aged 4 and 2. The mother lives full time in London, and the father worked abroad regularly, so spends large periods of time away from the family home. During the week, the family have a full time nanny and a housekeeper who attend the property. They are keen to find a new member of staff who can provide the mum and children support over the weekend (ideally through to Monday evening), and are looking for a warm, friendly and down to earth candidate to join their family team.
Duties
You will be focused on being involved in household duties, from light housekeeping and tidying up, through to childcare and looking after the children, playing with them, or taking them to activities. Mum is around during the weekend, but she sometimes has errands or appointments to go to, so needs someone she can trust who is both engaging and kind with the children. When she is with the children, she would like the candidate to be pro-active around the house, helping tidy, load the dishwasher or do light housekeeping. Bearing in mind there is a housekeeper during the week, you should be willing to get stuck in to family duties and routine as the days unfold.
There may be very rare and occasional travel with the mum and children at the weekends, and this would be arranged in advance. Babysitting or overnight would also be arranged in advance as not standard working hours. You should be warm, positive and friendly with good experience working in domestic settings, and be happy to help with both light housekeeping and children.
Location
The family is based in Marylebone, London, W1 and this is a live out role so you should be able to commute to the property each day for work.
Days/Hours
- Saturday, Sunday and Monday - three days per week
- 7:30am - 8pm each day (11.5 hours)
- Babysitting and overnight when agreed in advance.
- Flexibility to do additional days when agreed in advance, occasional Fridays or other week days (when the nanny or housekeeper is on holiday etc)
Languages
You must speak an excellent level of English. If you speak French this is a bonus.
Special Skills
You should be willing to assist with all aspects of family life, from housekeeping through to nanny duties.
