A family based near Worthing, West Sussex BN14 are looking for a temporary housekeeper, who is able to do simple cooking and look after their family home. The current housekeeper is going away over Christmas, and the family need an extra pair of hands from the 27th of December – 2nd of January (you should be available for this whole period). Package Offered
- £15-17 gross per hour, plus double pay for the 1st of January.
- £180-204 gross per day, for 7 days.
Family Background
The property is a beautiful family home, with 11 bedrooms. There is a couple, with four grown children, and two dogs. There will be no other staff on site, and the family will be having a relaxing Christmas and New Year – they won’t be entertaining or having guests during this booking period.
Duties
You will be in charge of all of the housekeeping in the property. You will be responsible for doing all of the laundry and ironing. If you are comfortable in the kitchen, you may be asked to do light cooking and follow basic recipes. You should be pet friendly and happy to be around the dogs, take them for walks as required. Ideally you should be happy to be stuck in, be involved in the day to day life of the family and help as and when is needed around the family. You do not need to be able to drive, but if you do this is a plus and will be given access to a car for any errands.
Location/Accommodation
The property is near Worthing, West Sussex, BN14. During the booking you’ll be given live in accommodation on the family property, within the family home.
Days/Hours
- Working each day of the booking 27th of December through to the 2nd of January – 7 days in total.
- 8am-8pm, 12 hours each day with breaks and down-time throughout the day. You should be happy to be flexible with hours worked.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should be available for the whole booking and happy to live in with the family. You should be discreet and well-mannered and just happy to make life easier.
