A friendly family based in central Birmingham are looking for a new, long-term live in housekeeper/cook to join their family.  You must speak Tagalog in order to apply for this role.

Package Offered

  • £20-35K gross per year, depending on experience
  • Full employed with tax and pension and NI paid
  • End of year bonus
  • 20 days plus 8 days bank holiday

Family Background
A professional family, the father owns a successful courier business, they have a 12 year old daughter and a 19 year old son.  Both children live at home with the family.  They have no pets.  They have a busy family life, with work, school and personal projects.  They are now looking for a new member of staff who wants to be a valued member of the family, to offer them housekeeping and cooking in the family routine.  The property is located in an affluent area of Edgbaston, Birmingham.  The property has easy access to public transport and the nearest train station is Birmingham New Street.

Duties
Your main focus will be on the housekeeping and cooking.  All cleaning, washing and ironing the family home.  You'll also be there to assist with any duties around the two children (although due to their age they don't need any childcare duties!).  Cooking is another focus of the role, and the family eat Halal.  They would like someone who is confident cooking Asian and Indian cuisine as this suits their tastes but they are open to all types of cooking.  There are no driving duties so you do not need to be able to drive.  They would ideally like a mature candidate with experience who is looking for a long-term role.  There may also be occasional travel with the family if you are happy to do so.

Location/Accommodation
This is a live in role so you will be provided beautiful fully furnished accommodation in the family home.  With wifi, TV and your own private space. The property is in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Days/Hours
Monday to Friday.  7am to 11am and then 4pm-8pm (8 hours per day).  

Languages
You must speak a good level of English and also speak Tagalog in order to communicate with the family.

Special Skills
You should have experience cooking Asian cuisine.
