A busy international family, based in Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 with a 6-month-old child, is now looking for an experienced Live in SEN nanny to join their family staff.

Family Background
An international family, who are based in the UK and abroad, are now looking for an experienced and qualified SEN nanny to join their family staff. They live in a beautiful part of Surrey, and have a number of children, each who their own dedicated nannies. The youngest child is 6 months old, and was born with Digeorge syndrome. The baby has already had two open heart surgeries, and requires a dedicated SEN nanny to help care for the baby along with the medical team and parents. A fully staffed household, normally the family travel regularly, but with COVID, they are shielding and staying in Surrey. They have no pets.
Duties
You should be flexible, discreet and well organised and have previous experience working with this age range and developmental area. Ideally, if you have experience in occupational therapy, to help learning activities and games to support the baby as she in her specific SEN requirements, that would be highly sought after. Due to her syndrome, she has specific emotional, social and physical needs and you should be confident to have sole charge of her during the time you spend working with her.
Although the older children have dedicated nannies, you should be happy to engage with the other children and become part of a wonderful household team. The family normally travel extensively (often spending the whole of summer abroad), so you should be happy and willing to travel whenever required. Currently, due to COVID the daughter is not going to be travelling as she needs the support of the medical team and is vulnerable due to her syndrome, so you will need to be additionally careful with COVID, be happy to have regular COVID tests, and be happy to take the vaccine once it has been offered to you.
You do not need to do any household duties, as they have housekeepers/drivers/chef etc, however you should be organised, clean and tidy, and always willing to take care of the little baby's area and clothing, and ensure that everything is orgnised to the highest standards around the baby girl. You should be looking for a long-term role, and have previous experience working with SEN children.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in Chertsey, Surrey, KT16. This is a live-in role. You'll be given private accommodation in the staff apartment on the grounds, with a private bathroom. Due to the baby needing to shield from COVID, you should be happy to shield with the family until restrictions are lifted. Once restrictions are lifted you should bbe happy to travel whenever required.
Days/Hours
- 5 days worked per week, with Friday and Saturday as the two days off
- 12 hour working days
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have previous experience working with SEN children.
