A family with 4 children aged 10yrs, 13yrs, 16yrs and 18yrs old and a small dog based in Kensington, London, W8 are looking for a rota nanny to support them. You must have a full driving licence to apply for this position and be happy to travel.
Package Offered
• £50,000 – £70,000 gross per year.
• Separate flat provided approximately 10 minutes away from the family (if required).
Family Background
A family with 4 children, a girl and 3 boys, aged 10yrs, 13yrs, 15yrs and 17yrs old are looking for rota nanny to support them. The parents are divorced. One of the children is at full-time boarding school and the other lives mostly with their mother. The two youngest children spend one week with their mother and one week with their father. This new rota nanny would be working with the father and the children when they are at his home every other week. The family also have a small dog so you should be happy and confident around dogs. You will care for the children and be educationally driven. The family travels a lot and you should be willing and happy to travel with them. The father has homes in London, Switzerland and France which they visit. Both homes are fully staffed so you will be solely focused on caring for the children.
Duties
- You will be solely focused on the children and will care for them, ensuring they have everything they need. Organising activities and supporting them in day-to-day life.
- You will be responsible for getting the children up and ready for school in the morning, organising breakfast, school bags etc and then taking them to school.
- You will feel comfortable interacting with children’s school teachers and tutors.
- Once you have dropped the children at school you may have errands to run and any other childcare-related duties to complete. You will then have a break in the afternoon until you collect the children again from school, take them to after-school activities, organised events etc.
- During the school holidays, you will care for the children all day and will be expected to organise suitable activities for the children. Travelling with the children ensuring they have everything they need packed and organising fun activities where ever they are.
- When on rota, you will be expected to be fully involved in the weekly schedule of the children, from early morning through to when the children go to bed.
- You should be educationally driven, be able to help with homework and help them reach their educational goals.
- Flexible, always willing to assist and be very discreet and well-mannered.
- You will be expected to travel with the family on holiday and be happy to do so whenever required.
Location/Accommodation
The family is based in Kensington, London, W8 and you will be provided with your own private flat close to the family should you wish to have this. You should also be willing and happy to travel regularly with the children.
Days/Hours
- Starting work at 8am Monday and working through to the following 8am Monday (one full week)
- 1 week on 1 week off rotation. You'll have the second week completely off (unless travelling with the family and this will be agreed upon in advance)
- You may also be asked to proxy parent overnight occasionally.
Languages
You must speak an excellent level of English.
Special Skills
You should hold a full driving licence and be confident driving in London. You should have strong educational skills and be confident working with children in this age range.
