A lovely family in Belgravia, London, SW1, are looking for a new part-time nanny to help look after their two children. This is live-out role so you must be able to easily commute to the property.
Package Offered
- £19 - £22 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working Monday to Thursday, from 8am to 1pm
- If you wish to work 1 or 2 full days in addition to the 20hrs then that is also an option
Family Background
This lovely family comprises of parents and their fourteen-month-old toddler. They very excitingly have a new baby due to arrive at the end of April. The family also has a beloved little terrier dog, so you must be happy around animals for this role. The dad is a busy professional, often working long hours and travelling for work. The mum is currently on maternity leave, but will eventually go back to work part time in the mornings. They live in a stunning five storey townhouse situated in the sought after area of Belgravia in London. The family have a country home in Herefordshire which they visit on weekends and on holidays. The family have previously had temporary nannies on occasion to lend an extra pair of hands, but now they are looking for a permanent member of staff. They also employ a part time housekeeper who visits the property every weekday morning.
Duties
You should be easy going and happy to be involved in family life, helping with the toddler and the newborn baby. The mum is very hands on and is looking for someone who will work in a team with her, taking sole and shared charge as needed. You will help guide and support the new baby, the toddler, and mum as they settle into a routine.
You will help with the morning routine, getting the toddler ready for the day and caring for the new baby, doing nursery runs, cooking for the toddler, and organising activities.
The toddler is an excitable and smiley child, who thrives on fun activities and engaging interactions with adults and other children. You will be responsible for planning fun and educational activities to support the toddler's development.
Although you won't have to do deep cleaning, you should be organised and tidy, with a great attitude. You should be happy to tidy up after the children, keep their rooms tidy, put toys away, and do laundry specific to the children.
You should also be happy to make snacks and lunches for the Toddler. They all enjoy eating fresh, home-cooked family meals.
The family visit their country home in Herefordshire at the weekends and on holidays, if you are happy to travel with them, this would be a bonus. You should also be happy with occasional additional babysitting hours when agreed in advance.
If you are able/open to travelling with the family, this would be a bonus but not required.
Location
The family are located in Belgravia, London, SW1. This is live out role so you must be able to easily commute to the property. You do not need to drive as the location can be easily reached by public transport.
Days/Hours
• Working Monday to Thursday, from 8am to 1pm
• You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or babysitting, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You must have experience working as a nanny in private households. You should be a happy and proactive person, looking to get involved with family life. You must be passionate about children and be looking for a long-term role.
