Family Background
A busy family of four in Greenwich are now looking for a new, long-term nanny to join their household. They have a beautiful five-bedroom home set across four floors. The family have a three year old child and a newborn baby. You must be comfortable around animals for this role and the family have two friendly dogs, a German Shepard, and a Dachshund. The family also employs a housekeeper to maintain their home.
Duties
You should be easy going and happy to be involved in family life, helping with the toddler and the newborn baby. You will help with the morning routine, caring for the new baby, nursery drop off and pick up, cooking for the toddler, and organising activities.
You should be confident to care for the newborn baby and have shared or sole care of the children. You will help guide and support the baby and mother as they settle into a routine.
The older child goes to nursery three mornings a week, and when they return home, you would be responsible for planning fun and educational activities, outdoor activities, and playdates and classes.
You should be willing to keep the children’s areas clean and tidy - although you won't have to do cleaning, you should be organised and tidy, with a great attitude. You should be happy to tidy up after the children, putting toys away, and doing laundry specific to the children.
You should also be happy to cook for the older child, making breakfasts, snacks, and a hot meal for lunch. The child is gluten free, so you must be confident catering to a gluten free diet.
The family travel occasionally so you should be happy to travel with them when required. You should also be comfortable and happy with occasional overnight proxy parenting when the parents travel and happy to do additional babysitting when agreed in advance.
Location
The family are located in Greenwich, London, SE10. This is live out role so you must be able to easily commute to the property. You do not need to drive as the location can be easily reached by public transport.
Days/Hours
- Working 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- Working 5 hours each day, from 8am – 1pm
- With flexibility expected over holidays
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
If you are Norland or Chiltern educated, this would be a bonus. You must have extensive experience working as a nanny in private households. You should be a happy and proactive person, looking to get involved with family life. You must be passionate about children and be looking for a long-term role.
