The six year old is autistic, he attends mainstream school and has a very curious mind with some sensory differences. He loves people and bonds well with people who engage with his interests and ideas. The three year old is in preschool part time and loves going swimming, to gymnastics, playing games, colouring, and animals. The family live in a beautiful two bedroom and two bathroom home on a small farm in rural Devon. You must be an animal lover for this role, as the family have dogs, cats, horses, and sheep who live on the farm. The mum’s parents live next door and see the family daily. They have a cleaner who visits once a week.

You should be a warm, friendly, and positive person who is happy to get involved in family life. This role will involve daily cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, dusting, changing beds, and maintaining a high standard of tidiness. They have a cleaner that visits once a week to do a deep clean.
You should be happy to have both sole and shared care of the two children, aiding the mum as needed. You will help with the school runs and take the children to any activities as needed. When the children return home from school/preschool, you would be responsible for helping the children with their homework, reading, and engaging in fun activities.
The successful candidate should be happy to cook for the children, they like to eat fresh and healthy meals - nothing gourmet! You will be required to run errands as required, such as trips to the pharmacy, post office, dry cleaners etc.
The family travel occasionally and would love it if you were able to travel with them, however, this isn’t a requirement. You should also be comfortable and happy with occasional overnight proxy parenting and happy to do additional babysitting when agreed in advance.
