A busy UHNWI in Mayfair, London, W1K is looking for an experienced part time housekeeper to care for their penthouse apartment. This is a live out role so you must be able to easily commute to the property.
Package Offered
- £20 - £24 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working Monday – Friday from 9am - 12pm
- Working 15 hours per week
Family Background
The principal is a businessman with a fast-paced schedule. He visits London regularly (usually twice a month), and generally visits with his adult son. The principal has a family of six, with all grown up children. The 350sqm penthouse apartment in Mayfair is a second residence for the principal. It has four stunning bedrooms and five bathrooms. There are no pets in the property. The family employs a PA to who the housekeeper will work closely with and report to.
Duties
The successful candidate will be an experienced housekeeper who has worked in private households previously. You should be confident with all daily & deep housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a five-star standard. The home has luxury furnishings, antiques and fine art – therefore, it is vital that you have experience and feel confident in handling these items. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is tidy and presentable at all times. The successful candidate should have strong initiative, an eye for detail, and be aware of any issues. If you notice a problem in the penthouse, you should make the PA aware so they are able to take immediate action.
You should feel confident in wardrobe management as the successful candidate will be responsible for handling the laundry & ironing, arranging dry clean appointments, and the packing/unpacking of luggage.
The principal is not always in residence, and therefore the successful candidate will make regular checks to ensure the home is fully stocked for visits. You will check the toiletries & groceries etc, and order items to ensure the apartment is prepared.
You must be happy to run errands as required, i.e trips to the dry cleaners, post office, and grocery store. It is important that you are reactive and liaise promptly with contractors and the maintenance team to report any issues.
Location
The apartment is in Mayfair, London W1K. You should be able to commute easily. This is a live-out role.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday – Friday from 9am - 12pm
- Working 15 hours per week
- You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours when the principal is visiting, this is generally twice a month
Languages
You must speak an excellent level of English to communicate with the principal.
Special Skills
You should be a skilled 5* standard housekeeper, with experience handling luxury furnishings.
