A lovely family of four are looking for a part-time child-friendly housekeeper to help with their family home in Guildford, Surrey, GU1. This is a live out role so you must be able to easily commute to the property.
Package Offered
- £16 - £20 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working 15 hours per week, over 3 days
- The principal is happy to be flexible on the candidate's working days and shifts
Family Background
This family comprises of parents and two young children aged 2.5 years and 8 months old. The older child is at nursery part time and the mum is at home full time with the baby. The family have no pets. The family will be moving house in the next six weeks and they are looking for a friendly housekeeper to help them with the upkeep of their five bedroom home, and occasionally assist with childcare duties. The home is spread over three floors and has four bathrooms. The family home is located a short distance from local public transport stations if you do not have a car.
Duties
You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the house and ensure it is tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, tidying up toys, and generally overseeing all areas of the house. You should be very confident taking care of the laundry and ironing. The successful candidate should have strong initiative and an eye for detail. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard.
You must be happy to help with the children if required, providing an extra pair of hands. The mum is at home full time with the children but may need the housekeeper to care for the children occasionally if she is busy. The successful candidate will be flexible to do some babysitting a few times a month in the evenings.
You should be able to help with light cooking and food prep for the children, as required. On occasion, you may be asked to run errands, collect parcels, pop to the dry cleaners, or do similar tasks.
If you are able/open to traveling with the family, this would be a bonus but not required.
Location
The family are based in Guildford, Surrey, GU1. You should be able to commute easily. This is a live-out role.
Days/Hours
- Working 15 hours per week, over 3 days
- The principal is happy to be flexible on the candidate's working days and shifts
- Generally, you will be working on weekdays, but you must be happy to work the occasional weekend day, as agreed in advance
- You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or babysitting, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu
Languages
You should speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be a skilled housekeeper and be happy to work with children.
