Family Background
A busy family are looking for a long-term part-time housekeeper to look after their new five-bedroom property near Bristol, Somerset, BS20. The family will be moving into the property soon, it is currently undergoing refurbishment and it will be completed within the next year. The three-storey property consists of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The family have three children, aged nine months, six and nine years old. The parents work from home so are looking for extra help around the household. The family have a pool and hire gardeners, a pool maintenance team, and a nanny.
Duties
Your role will be focused on the daily and deep cleaning of the household, including hoovering, dusting, and general cleaning of the whole house. Cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living and bedroom areas and ensuring the house is kept to high standards. Equipment used should be kept in good working order. You will ensure that the home is generally well presented and cared for and organised. You will also be responsible for the family’s laundry, ironing and wardrobe management.
You should also be happy to cook for the family occasionally and prepare classic home cooked meals for lunch. You should be happy to run errands for the family including helping the with weekly grocery shop and trips to the butchers.
The successful candidate should have strong initiative and an eye for detail. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You should be highly organised and able to keep everything in place.
Location
The family is based near Bristol, Somerset, BS20. This is a live-out role and you must be able to commute to the property easily.
