A lovely couple based near Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 are looking for a part-time housekeeper to help look after their home. The role is live out. Due to location, you must be able to drive.
Package Offered
- £16 - £20 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working 20 hours per week
- Working 9:30am – 1:30pm from Monday – Friday, with some flexibility for the right candidate
Family Background
The couple lives in a beautiful country home near rural Market Harborough. You must be an animal lover as they have three friendly dogs and horses in the onsite stables. The house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the majority of the bedrooms are guest rooms that are not in regular use. Their property is set on lovely large grounds which are maintained by the gardener. They also employ grooms to help care for the horses.
Duties
The successful candidate will be friendly and discreet, with energy and enthusiasm for the role. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. The couple enjoys keeping their home very organised and tidy, so you must be mindful to use your initiative to maintain this.
You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Duties include: cleaning the bathrooms, organising and cleaning the kitchen, making beds, cleaning floors & surfaces, and generally keeping all areas of the house clean and organised. You must be happy to be responsible for the family’s wardrobe management if required, ensuring all laundry & ironing is up to date.
The couple eats out regularly but would be very appreciative if you are a keen cook and happy to help prepare meals or make dinners. They enjoy a varied diet, and often follow recipes at home.
Occasionally, you may be required to run errands such as trips to the post office, dry cleaners, and grocery shopping.
You should be happy to assist with the dogs as needed, including occasional walks in the local countryside, and feeding. If you have a knowledge of horses, this would be a bonus but is not essential.
When the family travel (up to 4 weeks per year), you should be happy to house/dog sit, this would be agreed upon in advance.
Location
The family live approximately 8 miles from Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16. The role is live out. Due to location, you must be able to drive.

- Working 20 hours per week
- Working 9:30am – 1:30pm from Monday – Friday, with some flexibility for the right candidate
- With very occasional overtime if the principals are hosting guests or a dinner party. This would be agreed upon in advance and will be paid
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
