A lovely family of four are looking for a part-time housekeeper to help them clean and manage their home near Clapham South, London, SW12. This is live out role, so you must live within a commutable distance. If you are a driver and have a car, this would be a bonus.
Package Offered
- £18 - £22 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9am -6pm, with some flexibility
Family Background
The family comprises of parents, their son aged ten and their daughter aged nine, so being child friendly is a must. You must also be happy around pets as the family have two friendly cats. The husband has a busy schedule and works full time, and the wife also works three days per week. They live in a beautiful six bedroom, eight bathroom house near Clapham South, SW12. Alongside the kitchen and living areas, the home also includes a cinema room, utility room, and boot room. The family previously had a nanny/housekeeper who sadly left to due personal reasons, and they have a cleaner who comes on Thursdays to do a deep clean of the property.
Duties
You will be responsible for the daily and deep housekeeping in the property, working to maintain the deep cleaning that the cleaner completes each Thursday. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for a home to a high standard. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking groceries, organising, emptying the dishwasher, changing bedlinen, and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms etc. The successful candidate will have a keen knowledge of wardrobe management and be confident in handling all laundry, ironing, and arranging dry cleaners.
You must be confident in cooking simple and healthy meals for the children, they aren’t fussy eaters and have a wide palate, and enjoy classic family dishes.
You should be happy to run errands, such as going to the post office, popping to the dry cleaners, and doing top up grocery shops as needed. If you can drive, this would be a bonus and a car can be provided if you do not have one. If you are a driver, you should be happy to collect the children from school and take them to their activities such as clubs and play dates.
The successful candidate will be pet friendly, comfortable around the cats, and happy to clean the cat beds as well as feed them, as required.
You should be comfortable occasionally having to babysit the children for an evening or two week, this is not compulsory and would be agreed upon in advance and will be paid as overtime or given as time in lieu.

- Working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9am -6pm, with some flexibility
- Non compulsory overtime hours babysitting for the family (approximately 1/2 per week), this would be agreed upon in advance and will be paid as overtime or given as time in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be experienced at housekeeping and have an excellent eye for detail. You must be self motivated with a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will use their initiative and will be happy to work independently.
