A warm family of five living near Thatcham, West Berkshire, RG7 (between Reading and Newbury) are looking for a part-time housekeeper to join their family home and life. This is a live-out role so you should be able to easily commute. Due to the property location, you will need to drive and have your own car.

- £18 - £22 gross per hour depending on experience
Family Background
A family of five, a mother, father, and three children aged 7 and 9 and 12 years. They live in the beautiful countryside of West Berkshire. They lead a busy life, with both parents working full time. The three children attend school, and the parents do the school drop offs, pick-ups and travel to various sporting clubs and activities. The house is a beautiful modern home with five bed/five bathroom, with a lovely layout over two floors. They have two puppies who are a bundle of energy and the parents both work from home and from the office with a flexi schedule. It is in a semi-rural location.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms, organising and cleaning the kitchen, and generally keeping all areas of the house clean and organised. You will be responsible for the family’s wardrobe management, ensuring all laundry & ironing is up to date.
You should be happy to run errands such as trips to the post office, dry cleaners and putting away the grocery shopping. You should be confident in dealing with contractors that visit the property.
The family would ideally like you to cook and/or prepare family meals 2 or 3 times a week, they like to eat simple, healthy home-cooked meals. It is not a deal-breaker if you do not want to cook as part of your role, and the hours would adjust if you decide you do or do not want to cook.
You should be willing to follow directions, be a self-starter and be able to manage the rooms and duties required by the family. It's a busy family home, so someone who has an eye for detail and can really hit the ground running.
You should be happy to help care for the dogs, take on dog walks and feed them, and be willing to get stuck into family life.

The family home is near Thatcham, West Berkshire, RG7 (between Reading and Newbury) and this is a live-out role so you should be able to easily commute.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
- Working 10am - 2pm or 11am - 3pm, the family is flexible with the hours
- If you can be flexible during holiday times and can be able to support with extra house sitting/childcare then there is a potential to earn more.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should be experienced at housekeeping and have an excellent eye for detail.
