Package Offered
- £18 - £20 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working from 9 - 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Family Background
The family comprises of parents and their eleven year old twins. The family also has five Labradors, so you must be happy around animals for this role! The family live in a beautiful country estate that houses their main home and an additional guest cottage. There are eight bedrooms (although only three are regularly used) and six bathrooms. The house is sociable and the family regularly has house guests. This is the family’s main residence, and they already employ a gardener and a grounds person.
Duties
Our client is looking for a friendly and personable housekeeper to work in their home. You must have a strong initiative and an eye for detail. You should be happy to run the home and support the family as they lead their busy and active lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the main house and the cleaning of the guest cottage (generally every other week), ensuring that everything is always tidy and presentable. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for a home to a high standard. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking groceries, emptying the dishwasher, changing bedlinen, and cleaning the kitchens and bathrooms. The main focus is on all the living and communal areas.
You should be happy to run occasional errands like grocery shopping, post office runs etc.
When the family travel (in total one month annually), you should be happy to house and pet sit, as agreed in advance. You will be provided with lovely accommodation in the main house during this time.
Location
The home is situated near North Hinksey, Oxfordshire, OX2. This role is live. Due to location, you should have your own car.
Days/Hours
- Working 9-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Working 21 hours each week
- Opportunity to work extra hours babysitting for the family (approximately 3 times per month), as agreed in advance, this will given as paid overtime
Languages
You should speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be an experienced and skilled housekeeper. You should be self-motivated will excellent initiative and communication skills.
