A friendly family of three near Kensington, London, SW5 are looking for a new housekeeper to care for their apartment and help with their daughter. The role is live out and you must be able to commute easily to the property.
Package Offered
- £16 - £18 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working Monday – Friday, from 3pm – 8pm
Family Background
Our client and his husband are looking for a housekeeper to help with their one year old daughter and their home. It is important that you are an animal lover, as they have a Miniature Schnauzer who is an integral part of the family. The parents are busy with work and travel often. They live in a beautiful 120sqm apartment, it has two bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, and two bathrooms. They already employ a full time nanny who works during the day, from 8am – 5pm.
Duties
You should be confident with all daily housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is tidy and presentable, you will be responsible for daily and deep cleaning. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking the groceries, emptying the dishwasher, changing bed linen, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms etc. You will focus on the housekeeping from 3pm – 5pm each day, and then once the nanny finishes, you will be focusing on the little girl from 5pm – 8pm.
The little one year old daughter doesn’t currently attend nursery and instead spends the days with her nanny. When the nanny goes home, you should be happy to take sole charge and be responsible for the nanny duties for the evening. You will be expected to entertain the little girl and undertake the evening routine: making her a healthy balanced dinner & feeding her, bathing her, reading to her, and putting her to bed. The parents are very busy with work but strive to be home by 8pm when she goes to bed.
You should be pet friendly, feeding the family’s beloved dog, and taking them out for a quick walk during your housekeeping hours, if you have time.
Location
The family are based near Kensington, London, SW5. This is a live-out role and you must be able to commute to the property easily.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday – Friday, from 3pm – 8pm
- Working 25 hours a week
- Opportunity to work extra hours babysitting for the family, as agreed in advance, this will either be paid or given back as time in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be looking for a long term role, be an excellent housekeeper and be happy to help with the childcare. You should be pet friendly.
