A lovely family are looking for a Part Time Gardener to care for their lovely garden near Goring, South Oxfordshire, RG8. The role is live out and you must be able to commute easily to the property. You must have a full driving license for this role.
Package Offered
- £24 - £27 gross per hour depending on experience
- Working 15 hours per week, over 2 days
Family Background
The family of five live in a picturesque period property near Goring in South Oxfordshire. Their 6000 sqft home has seven spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms. The estate has a converted barn on site containing a pool and gym, alongside two small offices. The family home is nestled amongst 3 acres of stunning grounds, a portion of the grounds are manicured and the remaining areas are naturally growing. The family has an energetic Cocker Spaniel, so you must be a dog lover for this role.
Duties
The main part of your role will be gardening and looking after the external areas. This includes mowing, pruning, strimming, weeding, watering, lawn repair, planting, and mending fences etc. You should be confident in using all key gardening equipment, the equipment can be provided. It is important that you have a strong knowledge of horticulture and plants for this role. The family are also looking to focus on their new kitchen garden, duties will include planting, maintaining, and harvesting the produce.
The successful candidate will be responsible for liasing with contractors, including window cleaners, tree surgeons and the pool maintenance team.
You must be happy to assist with general household maintenance such as painting, changing lightbulbs, simple DIY, arranging contractors, managing the bins etc.

The family live near Goring, South Oxfordshire, RG8. This is a live-out role so you must live locally.
Days/Hours
- Working 15 hours per week, over 2 days
- The working days are flexible and the principal is happy for the gardener to work around their other commitments
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You must drive and ideally have your own car due to the countryside location of the property. You must have a passion for gardening and enjoy working outdoors in all weather. You must have professional gardening experience and very good knowledge of plants.
