A family of four based near Theale, RG7, West Berkshire are now looking for a new long-term part-time Chef to join their family home. Due to the location, you should have your own car.
Package Offered
- £15-22 gross per hour depending on experience
- 18 - 25 hours per week.
Family Background
A family of five, with one lovely Labrador, is looking for a new long-term Chef to join their family home. A beautiful five-bedroom home, on a countryside lane near to Theale. They are keen to find a committed and long-term candidate. They are now looking for a new long-term part time Chef.
Duties
You should be skilled and confident in the kitchen. The father is Vegan, so you should be able to cook fresh, healthy organic vegan food, and also cook meat for the rest of the family. You will be in charge of planning menus, buying the food, and cooking for the family. You should be happy to ensure that the kitchen is cleaned well after your use - although the family have a part time housekeeper who comes to the property, the housekeeper is not there every day.
On the days you don't work, you should prepare food that can be easily heated up etc, by the family on the days you aren't working, including the weekend etc.
You should be organised and excellent with your Chef skills, and also happy to plan exciting meals for the family. You should be able to cook dinner party style food when required, and if the family are entertaining they may book you for additional days on the weekend, so a bit of flexibility is required. You should be confident with your food cooking, and be able to allow for dietary requirements of the guests.
The family are warm, friendly and easy-going and their previous staff have all stayed long-term with the family, so they are looking for a kind and wonderful new member of staff to join their family home.
Location
The family live near Theale, RG7, West Berkshire. You should be able to drive and have your own car in order to commute to the property.
Days/Hours
- 3 days per week. Ideally Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- 12 - 7pm (but the hours can be adjusted if needs be)
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You must be highly organised and have great Chef and cooking skills. Able to cook freshly made, healthy cuisine.
