A young, loving family of 4 based in Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, CO10 are looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper to join their home. The family are also happy to consider flexi live in/live out at the weekends, or full live out. You must have a full driving license for this role.

Family Background
A young family with two boys (5.5 and 2.5 years old) who have recently relocated from London to Little Waldingfield, Suffolk are looking for a Live in Housekeeper/Nanny to become part of their family. Mum and dad are very hands on parents and do a lot of volunteering, they are fun and sociable and are looking for a long term housekeeper/nanny who can really become part of the family. They have a large house with gardens, swimming pool and tennis court and have space for a housekeeper to potentially live in with their own bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. The family have no pets.
Duties
Housekeeping: All housekeeping duties within the household., including daily and deep cleaning, managing laundry and helping keep clothes, linen, kitchenware etc organised. They travel about 10 weeks a year so you should be happy to be in charge of looking after the house when the family are away.
Childcare: Be an extra pair of hands, helping mum and dad get the kids off to school in the morning (i.e. help encourage them to get dressed and finish their breakfast).
Help mum and dad get them fed in the evenings (encourage and help the littlest to eat) and sometimes keep them busy and entertained (i.e. do a puzzle with
one of them and so forth). Occasional help with the school run (drop off and / or pick) and the family can make a car available if need be. Mum and dad are hands on parents so it’s more about the person being there as an extra pair of hands.
There will be occasional cooking required so if you can cook and are confident in preparing healthy meals for the children this would be a bonus.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, CO10. If you live out you should be in easily commutable distance to the family home, if you chose to live in then private accommodation within a separate wing of the family home will be provided. The family are not open to couples and ideally no pets but may consider someone with one well-behaved dog.
Days/Hours
- Monday – Friday – 30-35 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times depending on the family’s needs.
- Occasional babysitting and overnight proxy parenting when required.
- Occasional weekend work when the family are entertaining guests.
Languages
You should have a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should be experienced in working with private families and have a positive, can-do attitude. Driving is essential and an automatic car will be provided.
