A lovely family of six based near Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, GL56 are looking for a new long-term nanny to look after the children. You must have a full driving licence for this role and you should have your own car in order to commute to the property. This is a live-out or flexible (live-in whilst working) role depending on your preference. 

Package Offered 
The family are looking for someone to work either 2 days a week, 3 days a week or 4 days a week depending on your preference. One of these working days must be a Wednesday.

  • If you work 4 days per week: £40,000 to £45,000 gross per year. 
  • If you work 3 days per week: £30,000 to £35,000 gross per year. 
  • If you work 2 days per week: £20,000 to £25,000 gross per year.

A separate self-contained cottage on the grounds of the estate with its own kitchen, living room, double bedroom and ensuite. Available to be used on the days you are working and overnight should you choose. 

An automatic car is also provided for working duties.

Family Background 
This friendly family comprises of professional parents and their four young children.The children are aged between 1 and 7. The family live in a stunning country property nestled within sprawling grounds. Their property has 6 beautiful bedrooms and a separate cottage. One parent will be working from home and the family enjoys the beautiful English countryside and are looking for a nanny who will also enjoy the country lifestyle.

Duties 
The ideal nanny will be calm and caring, incredibly organised and loves the countryside and animals. The ability to deal with a busy household full of fun and laughter is essential so someone who loves planning and organisation would be ideal. 

You should be confident with all aspects of nanny duties for the four children. You will have experience working with multiple very young children. You should be happy to clear up after the children and ensure that the playroom and children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy. You would be responsible for mucking in with the children’s washing and laundry too.

You would help the parents with the school/nursery runs, dropping off and collecting the children as needed, so you must be a confident driver. The eldest son and daughter attends school 5 days a week and the 2 year old girl is at nursery 3 mornings a week.  During term time, once the eldest two are at school you will be in charge of the younger two children.

You will be responsible for planning and organising activities for the children. Such as their playdates and school activities as well as organising their uniform, clothing and general admin. The children love the outdoors, and enjoy activities such as rugby, tennis, swimming, ballet, and jumping in puddles! It would be wonderful if you were able to  help the eldest child with their homework & reading.

You should be happy to meal plan for the children at the beginning of the week and buy groceries, batch cook, and run errands accordingly. You should be happy for cook for the children, creating fresh and healthy child-friendly meals. 

During the school holidays there may be the opportunity for you to travel with the family, who enjoy travelling around the UK and in Europe. 

You should be flexible and willing to lend an extra pair of hands. You should be confident around children, and passionate about children's development and learning.  You will be firm but fair when it comes to manners and be willing to be silly/laugh/smile lots!

Location/Accommodation
The family live near Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, GL56. This is a live in or live out role.  If you are living in you will have your own self contained cottage on the estate complete with an Everhot in the Kitchen, your own living room, double bedroom and ensuite.

The accommodation provided is only available overnight on days when you work the following morning. This is not a full-time live-in role.

You will also have access to the 500 acres around the property which is lovely for long walks and spending time outside. 

Days/Hours

  • Working from 7am to 7pm. There is flexibility on what other days are worked but consecutive days would be preferred and Wednesdays are a must.  
  • You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or work over the weekend, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu. 
  • Proxy-parenting (when the father is travelling and mum is at home) will be agreed in advance and paid as overtime. 
  • If you choose to live out, you must be happy to do overnight stays at the property to assist the family when the father is travelling. 

Languages 
You should speak English fluently.

Special Skills 
You should have experience looking after children of this age range.  You should be flexible and very organised, willing to get fully involved in family life.   You must have a driving licence and your own car in order to commute to the property.
