A lovely family of five based near Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, GL54 are looking for a new long-term nanny to look after the children. You must have a full driving license for this role. This is a live-in, or live-out role depending on your preference. If you choose to live out, you must live within an easily commutable distance.
Package Offered
- £40,000 to £50,000 gross per year depending on experience
- A private double bedroom and ensuite will be provided if you decide to live in.
Family Background
This friendly family comprises of professional parents and three young children, a pet cat, and a new baby due in December 2022. A little girl aged 5 years old, a little boy aged 2 years old, and a baby girl aged 1 year. The family live in a stunning country property nestled within sprawling grounds. Their property has 7 beautiful bedrooms and there are also tennis courts and a swimming pool on the grounds. The parents are hands on and love to be involved in every aspect of day to day life. The dad has a busy schedule and works away from home regularly, the mum works from home. The family currently employs a full time housekeeper to help manage their home. The family enjoys the beautiful English countryside and are looking for a nanny who will also enjoy the country lifestyle.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of nanny duties for the three children. You should be happy to clear up after the children and ensure that the playroom and children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy. You would be responsible for doing the children’s washing and laundry too.
You would help the parents with the school/nursery runs, dropping off and collecting the children as needed, so you must be a confident driver. In the afternoons, you will be responsible for helping the eldest child with their homework & reading, a knowledge of phonetics is a must!
You will be responsible for planning and organising activities. The children love the outdoors, and enjoy activities such as rugby, tennis, swimming, ballet, and jumping in puddles!
You should be happy to meal plan for the children at the beginning of the week and buy groceries, batch cook, and run errands accordingly. You should be happy for cook for the children, creating fresh and healthy child-friendly meals.
During the school holidays there may be the opportunity for you to travel with the family, the family enjoy travelling around the UK and in Europe.
You should be flexible and willing to lend an extra pair of hands. You should be confident around children, and passionate about children's development and learning. You should be confident with both shared and sole charge.
Location/Accommodation
The family live near Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, GL54. This is a live in or live out role. A private bedroom and private bathroom would be provided on a separate floor if you choose to live in, the nanny may also use the playroom as a private living room once the children have gone to bed. If you live out, you must be an easily commutable distance to the property.
Days/Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Monday - 9am - 6:30pm Tues. 7:30 - 7pm. Wed, 7:30 - 7pm. Thurs 8am - 6:30pm, Friday, 7:30 - 4pm.
- You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or work over the weekend, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu
- Proxy-parenting (when the father is travelling and mum is at home) will be agreed in advance and paid as overtime.
- If you choose to live out, you must be happy to do overnight stays at the property to assist the family when the dad travels for the proxy-parenting.
Languages
You should speak English fluently.
Special Skills
You should have experience looking after children of this age range. You should be flexible and be willing to get fully involved in family life.
