Family Background

The parents are professionals, the father works full time and the mother works part time.  They live in the centre of Geneva and they have two beautiful children.  One is 4, and the other is three months old.  They have had a full-time maternity nanny since their first child was born - alongside maternity nurses to get the family into a great routine. They do not have any pets in their home.  They live in a beautiful city centre home in Geneva, and lead an active and busy life.  They have a housekeeper who attends the property each day, and enjoy travel.  They are well known by the agency, as we placed their first nanny (who was with them for 4 years) and they are now looking to find a new, long-term nanny for their family.

Duties

You will be looking after the two children during the week when the parents are at work.  All childcare duties, such as laundry for the baby, sorting clothes, bottle feeding, bottle preparation (sterilising etc), taking the baby out for walks, playing with the baby and singing, reading books.  When the older child is at nursery, your focus will be on the baby, and then the parents return from work at 4pm and you'll shift your focus to the older child, to help with play and homework.  The parents are involved and are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of children development during these ages - to help guide and support both the parents and the children.

You should be happy to prepare food for the older child, and have a warm, capable and flexible attitude.  You should speak English to the highest standards in order to give a good grounding of language skills to both the baby and the older child.  You should be happy to cook for the children, and if you are happy to cook for the family this is a bonus!  There will be travel with the family so you should be happy to travel as required.
