A lovely busy family in Wandsworth Common (South London area), is looking for a long term, live out housekeeper who is child friendly, to look after all the cleaning and help a little with their three children aged 8, 7 and 3.5 year old (they have a full time nanny so only assisting with childcare here and there).
A busy family of five, with three children (8,7 and 3.5 year old) who attend school and nursery. Their 5000 square foot home with 6 bedrooms, over 4 floors, is close to Wandsworth Common. They have had a previous housekeeper who is leaving due to personal reasons. They want to find a new caring, child friendly housekeeper in a new long-term role with them. They already have a live out nanny who looks after the children, but you will be expected to help at times with the children.
You'll be responsible for all the housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry and ironing. In the morning you will help get the children ready for school and to after school activities. You may also be asked to collect the children for school and/or nursery if the nanny or mother are unable to collect them, you will be sole charge of the children at this time. You will also be expected to babysit once a week. There is no cooking or pet care (as they have no pets), so your focus will be solely on all the cleaning, and being an extra pair of hands as and when is required. You should have a focused and professional approach, and love to take care of the house to a high standard. You should be looking for a long term position, as the family want to have a long term member of staff. As it's a busy family, you should be happy to be discreet and just have good common sense to get on with tasks at hand, to help make family life run smoothly.
This is a live out role so there is no accommodation on offer.
Monday to Friday or Monday to Friday with an extra half day on Saturday (The family are open to both). You will typically be working from 7am - 3pm with a one hour break in the middle of your shift.
You should speak a good level of English.
A full driving licence would be desirable but not necessary. If you do drive, you'll be given access to a family car to collect the children when needed. You must have experience as a housekeeper working in a busy household with children.
£400 - £500 net a week.
All taxes paid, and contract provided.
