Amazing opportunity to start your career in a private household! A family-based in Kensington, London, W11, are looking for a long-term, live-out junior housekeeper for their family property. Looking for permanent and longevity to grow with the family.
Package Offered
- 35 - 43 hours per week depending on your preference
- Up to £27,000 gross per year (pro-rata if working reduced hours)
Family Background
A beautiful, well-appointed property are looking for a new, long-term housekeeper to join their family home. They currently have another full-time housekeeper who you will be working alongside on a day-to-day basis. They have no pets and enjoy travel and all children are grown up.
Duties
All tasks focused around the home upkeep and housekeeping. Upkeep of the house, eg cleaning and liaising with the family office to provide maintenance support. Willing to work around the other housekeeper and assist when needed. You should be skilled with housekeeping, with an eye for detail and an ability to go the extra mile to get the job done. You should be highly skilled in housekeeping, to manage and care for the property. Occasional drop off son (12 years old) to nearby school.
You should be happy to undertake laundry, ironing and wardrobe management. There is some light meal prep, light cooking - but not to a high standard, you should feel comfortable providing some light cooking if needed.
You should have good time management and be flexible warm, and switched on with lots of common sense and initiative! Wanting to become a long-term member of staff and valued member of the family setup. You should be hospitable and wanting to make life easier for the family!
Location
This is a live-out role in Kensington, London, W11. You should be able to commute to the property easily.
Days/Hours
- Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 3:30 (but the family are happy for you to work reduced hours if you prefer)
- Saturday afternoons for three hours
- Additional days/hours would be covered as overtime or time off in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family and the rest of the staff.
Special Skills
You should be organised and a good team player - able to get the housekeeping done to the highest degree.
