A lovely couple near Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL6, are looking for a full time housekeeper/cook. This is a live in or live out role depending on your preference. You must hold a full driving licence for this role. If you choose to live out, you must be able to easily commute to the property.

Family Background
A lovely couple near Stroud, Gloucestershire are looking for a new long-term housekeeper. Their current housekeeper who has been with them for more than seven years is sadly moving on to pursue a new career. The couple live in a stunning three bedroom, three bathroom with a separate on site flat. You must be happy around animals for this role as the couple has a beloved Border Terrier.
Duties
You will be focused on the housekeeping of the property, ensuring the house is always kept clean and tidy. You will be responsible for all the housekeeping duties, including daily and deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, cleaning bathrooms etc.
You should be happy to run errands for the couple on occasion, such as going to the shops, dry cleaners, or post office. You should be a confident driver and happy to drive the couple to their required destination as needed. This will include several trips to the airport each year.
You will be required to cook dinner for the couple at least three times a week including the occasional lunch. The couple enjoy eating a variation of home cooked meals, they particularly enjoy eating fish dishes, souffles, meat dishes, and quiches.
You must be a dog lover for this role as you will be assisting with pet care. You should be happy to walk the dog daily and bath him where necessary. When the family travels, you will need to stay home and house sit/dog sit. This would be around twice a year. You would be required to stay in the on-site flat during this period.
Location/Accommodation
The couple are located near Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL6. This is a live in or live out role depending on your preference. If you choose to live out, you must be able to easily commute to the property. If you choose to live in, a 2-bedroom cottage, located 5 minutes away in the local village can be provided.
Days/Hours
- Working 32.5 hours per week
- Working 8:30am – 1:30pm, and 6pm - 8:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Working 8:30am – 1:30pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have good experience working as a housekeeper in a private household. You must be a strong and confident cook for this role. You must hold a full driving licence for this role.
