A lovely, family St John’s Wood NW8 are looking for an experienced, live in Nanny / Housekeeper for their busy household. 

Background
The family have two children (a new born and a child under 10years), 3 dogs and a hamster. They are looking for someone who can join their family home, staff team of 5 for the long term. Their staff team is very important to them.  They have two children so an understanding and enjoyment of family life is crucial. The children already have a full time nanny so you will be supporting the nanny and covering her days off. They also have 3 dogs so you should be comfortable around dogs too. The house is 5500 square feet spread over 5 floors and within 2 acres of beautiful grounds.

Duties
This role will entail assisting the housekeeper with general immaculate housekeeping, laundry and ironing, errand running, occasional dog walking and cooking for the family.  You will also be responsible for supporting the nanny, taking care of the children and covering her days off.  You should be a great team player able to work alongside both the nanny and the housekeeper. You will be happy working within a small household team and happy to liaise with other staff to ensure the smooth running and organisation of the house. You should be happy to undertake day to day cleaning as well as deep cleaning.

Accommodation
St John’s Wood NW8, London. This is a live in role where you will be provided with your own bedroom and a bathroom which is shared with the nanny.

Days/Hours
7am – 6.00pm 5.5 days per week. You will get one half day during the week and one whole day at the weekend off, these will change ensuring the family always has the support it needs in the home.  

Languages
A good level of English is required.

Special Skills
You need to have experience of working in a busy household and enjoy what you do. Have excellent attention to detail, have energy, be proactive and take great pride in helping maintain a beautiful home.  You need to understand family households and the way they work and importantly use your common sense, be hard working and flexible. A driving licence would be a bonus but not essential.

Package Offered

  • £500 - £800 net per week / £640 - £1100 GROSS per week, depending on background and experience.
  • Between £33,000 - £57,000 GROSS per annum.

Interview/Start date
The client is interviewing in the next couple of weeks. After interviews there will be a trial, leading to employment, as soon as possible.
