A friendly and warm French/British family living in Little Venice, Maida Vale in London, W9 are looking for a new, long-term, live in nanny/housekeeper to join their family home.
Package Offered
- Fully employed with accommodation and use of a car if you drive.
- They will be able to pay between £400-550 net per week / £25K - £37K gross per year
Family Background
A family of four, the father works full time, and the mother is currently completing a degree which once finished she will return to work. They have two lovely children, a three year old son who attends half day nursery and a one year old daughter. The family are bi-lingual and all speak fluent English and French. They have no pets. They have a part time housekeeper who attends the property to do all the deep cleaning and regularly housework at the moment. They are a generous and kind family and their current nanny has been with them for a number of years.
Duties
You will have sole charge of the children, and although the mother and father are very interactive, your main role will be to cherish and care for the children. You should be energetic, pro-active and organised. Willing to arrange fun activities and playdates for the children, helping them develop and grow, through fun and play. You should be practical and hands on, and have experience working with children in this age range. Your focus is 100% on the children, but you should muck in with family life, help tidy up and clear the kitchen, with a can-do attitude, as the family love to have a nanny/housekeeper who enjoys helping out around the house, taking pride in their work. You should enjoy cooking fresh, healthy food for the children to enjoy and be flexible around the families schedule so that if the parents are about, to assist with general family routines and life. The family are looking for someone to stay with them long term so you should be happy to help with light housekeeping as the role evolves, the youngest may attend nursery in the mornings next year.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in Little Venice, Maida Vale in London, W9. This is a live in role, with beautiful private entrance accommodation provided within the family home. The family respect your privacy and this space is fully yours. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.
Days/Hours
Five days a week, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. With flexibility for weekend cover (when agreed in advance) or babysitting or overnight proxy-parenting if the parents are travelling. 7:30am to 7:30pm with regular breaks.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English. If you speak French this is a bonus but not required.
Special Skills
You do not need to be able to drive. If you do drive then access to a car can be provided - automatic.
Interviews/Start Date
ASAP - their current nanny leaves at the beginning of January, so the family are flexible with start, but keen to have someone in place by the 7th of January 2019
