A lovely family living in the gorgeous Austrian countryside with their two young children of 3 and 5 years old, and a baby due in July 2019. The are looking for a live in nanny to join their active, outdoors focused household. You must hold a full driving licence valid in Austria, due to the location of the property.
Package Offered
- Salary between £400 - £450 net per week / £26,000 - £30,000 annual gross.

Family Background
This is a lovely active family with two children and one on the way. A 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. The father works full time with extremely long hours, the mother does not work and is at home a lot – albeit very active with events and charities. The children had maternity nurses when younger and are now looking for a full time nanny to assist with all the children’s’ needs. They do not have any pets. They are an active and healthy family enjoying sports and the outdoors, their house has an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court that they actively use throughout the year. They are also passionate skiers and ice skaters. They live in the beautiful countryside town of Gmunden, Austria.
Duties
You must be a very active, motivated and engaging nanny to be around the healthy and fit children and take care of their every need. You will be there during the day as well as the evening to take care of the children, do lots of (outdoor) activities with them and stimulate them. You will be doing the kindergarten and school run and bring the children to any activities by car. You will be cooking for the children and are expected to do some housekeeping, and making sure the house will be clean and tidy. You will be required to travel with the family when needed. The children stick to strict time schedules and routine which you will use and implement.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in Gmunden, in the beautiful Austrian countryside between Salzburg and Vienna. You will be provided with accommodation in the family home. This has a separate entrance, kitchen and your own bathroom in a separate side of the house.
Days/Hours
You will work
- 2 mornings a week 7.30am to 12.30 noon (total 10hrs)
- 3 afternoons a week 2pm to 6pm (total 12hrs),
- 3 evenings a week 6pm to 10pm (total 12hrs)
- You will also work 10 hrs every second weekend this may be 1 whole day, 2 mornings, 2 afternoons or a morning and an afternoon dependant on the families needs.
This averages to be 39 hrs a week. The family draw up a schedule each week so you will know when you are needed. Flexibility is key though to be able to adapt to the family’s needs when required.
Languages
You must speak an excellent level of English.
Special Skills
You must be reliable, really professional and motivated and have a true passion for the outdoors and sports. You must be able to drive.
