A lovely family in Jersey, JE3 are looking for a new full time live in nanny to help look after their two children. This is a live in role, and a private bedroom and bathroom within the home will be provided. You must have a full driving licence for this position.
Package Offered
- £45,000 - £50,000 gross per year depending on experience
- A private double bedroom and bathroom within the home will be provided
- An automatic car can also be provided for work use
Family Background
This is a friendly and relaxed family comprising of parents and two children, a little boy aged 2 years and a baby girl aged 10 weeks. The family does not have any pets. The family has recently relocated from London to the beautiful island of Jersey, they live in a stunning beachfront home. There is a cleaner that visits the home daily to undertake the deep cleaning and housekeeping.
Duties
The family is welcoming and eager to find a lovely nanny to be an extra pair of hands. They are looking for someone who is happy to work alongside the parents, the mum is at home and enjoys being a hands on parent. The successful candidate will be an experienced nanny with a strong knowledge of developmental milestones.
The nanny should be confident in organising engaging activities and excursions. The family enjoys outdoorsy activities, especially beach walks, trips to the park, and swimming lessons (they have their own pool). They also enjoy reading, indoor crafts, music, and cooking.
You must be happy to undertake some daily housekeeping, including all housekeeping that pertains to the children (cleaning their bedrooms, laundry etc), and loading the dishwasher, and changing bedlinen etc.
The little boy is at nursery 2 days a week, on these occasions, you must be happy to do the nursery run, or stay behind and care for the baby girl. You will be working closely with the mum, taking turns to care for each of the children throughout the day.
You should be confident in cooking for the children and assisting at mealtimes, they enjoy eating a healthy and fresh varied diet. Once the baby starts weaning, you must be happy to prepare her meals as needed. This will involve food shopping and meal planning for the baby as required. You must be happy to batch cook and prep food for the freezer.
There will also be the opportunity to travel with the family when they go away, either within the UK or overseas.
You must be a confident driver and be happy to undertake driving duties such as nursery runs, trips out, and errands etc.
Location/Accommodation
The family home is located in Jersey, JE3. This is a live in role, and a private bedroom and bathroom within the home will be provided. You must have a full driving licence for this position.
Days/Hours
- Working from 7am - 7pm with a 2 hour break in the middle of the day, with some flexibility
- Working from Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend work as agreed in advance
- Undertaking one evening of babysitting per week, to be agreed upon in advance
- You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or additional babysitting, this would be agreed in advance and will be paid as overtime
Languages
You should speak fluent English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be an experienced nanny with prior history working with babies and toddlers. You must be a confident driver. You should be happy to work closely with the parents and share all responsibilities as necessary.
