A family of 6 based near Bicester, Oxfordshire are looking for a long term, permanent, live in nanny / housekeeper to help them in their household. You must have a full driving licence and an automatic car will be provided. You should also be pet friendly as the family have 2 dogs, horses and a cat. A private separate 2-bedroom cottage is provided as your residence.
Package Offered
- £30,000 - £35,000 gross per year (50hr week)

Family Background
A busy family with four children, the three youngest being 6yrs, 10yrs and 11yrs. The eldest is 14yrs and currently at boarding school. The mother, father and four children live in a large property with 10 bedrooms. The home is fully staffed, with another live in housekeeper, a part-time housekeeper, and 2 chauffeur/housemen who have all been working for the family for a long time, they are looking for another team member to join them on a permanent, long term basis. They also have a daily housekeeping company who do the heavy cleaning, so you will be responsible for the light housekeeping duties. The family have horses, 2 dogs and a cat, so you must be confident around animals to apply for this role.
Duties
When the children are at school you will be focused on all the housekeeping in the property along with the other housekeeper. In the afternoons your role will be more focused on looking after the children.
- You should be a team player happy to undertake all housekeeping duties, alongside the other existing staff.
- Daily cleaning, some deep cleaning (they have a daily housekeeping company who do the heavy cleaning), laundry, ironing.
- Flexibility is key, as is attention to detail.
- You will be responsible for taking the children to school (they also go to school on Saturdays) as well as picking them up and looking after them after school.
- Running errands and shopping for the family so driving in essential.
- You should be confident in cooking simple homemade food as you will be asked to do basic cooking.
- Occasionally you may be asked to travel with the family.
- You should be a good team player, happy to work alongside the other staff, willing to take direction and adjust to the needs of the family.
Location/Accommodation
The family home is near Bicester, Oxfordshire, you will be provided with separate private accommodation.
A lovely separate 2-bedroom cottage in the grounds with its own entrance is your private residence.
Days/Hours
Wednesday – Sunday (5 days per week)
10 hours each day, with flexible start and finish times depending on the daily schedule and whether the children need taking to school that day.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have experience housekeeping in private properties and working with children.
You should have a full, clean driving licence.
You should be confident around animals, including - horses, dogs and cats.
