A beautiful stately home in Tugby, LE7, Leicestershire are looking for a full-time live in maintenance person/gardener to be in charge of all aspects of the property and garden maintenance. This is a live-in position. You must have a full driving license for this role.
Package Offered
- £30,000 - £40,000 gross per year.

Family Background
The couple owns a beautiful stately home on the Leicestershire/Rutland border which they have recently renovated into a private rental house with high-end dining and a Michelin star Chef for their guests. They provide the highest quality of service to their clients and are now looking for a full-time maintenance person/gardener to be in charge of all aspects of the property and garden maintenance. The couple have chickens on the grounds and are allowing guests to bring pets with them for their stay.
Duties
Your role will be to oversee the infrastructure of the property to ensure functionality and safety on site, such as: project work, painting & decorating, carpentry, minor electricity & plumbing, assemble furniture, change lightbulbs, general gardening etc. ensuring the highest standard of the maintenance and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
You will be responsible for all maintenance and repairs of the property, including maintaining a log book of all repairs requested, and when the repair work was completed and report regularly to the House Manager on par stock levels, receipts for purchasing maintenance items.
You will also be required to help the gardeners with general gardening and landscaping when required.
Location/Accommodation
The property is based near Leicester. This is a live-in position. You will be provided with a self-contained one-bedroom apartment on site.
Days/Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Languages
You should speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have experience working as a maintenance person/ gardener. You should be detailed oriented and be able to prioritise and have good time management skills.
