A lovely American family with two young boys, relocating to Marylebone, London in September are looking for a travelling live in nanny/housekeeper to join their household.
Background
This is an American family, two fathers with two lovely sons aged 10 months and 2.5 yrs. They are relocating to London due to work and plan to find their new home in Marylebone, where the children will be attending nursery full time. They are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the cleaning and upkeep of the home and help with childcare. You would be the sole housekeeper/nanny, they do not have another housekeeper. They have two small dogs that are crate trained so you should be comfortable around dogs too. The family will be living in temporary accommodation when they first arrive but intend to find a home in Marylebone. The family travel to the EU and the USA on holiday, you should have suitable rights to travel and be prepared to travel with them. They have had a great manny working with them in New York but unfortunately, he is unable to relocate with them to the UK.
Duties
You will be responsible for all cleaning of the home, day to day and deep cleaning, all laundry and ironing. You may be asked to help with cooking once in a while, but the family enjoy cooking for themselves and do the grocery shop.
Both children attend nursery full time, during term time you will be mainly focused on housekeeping as one father is stay at home, he takes the children to nursery and collects them. You will be expected to help with the children, before and after school as an extra pair of hands during term time. During the nursery/school holidays you will be doing more child care but will still be responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of the home. You should be comfortable being sole charge with the children when needed.
Location
The family will be based in Marylebone, London but you will be expected to travel with the family. This is a live in role so the family provide a private bedroom and bathroom for you in their home in London.
Days/Hours
Monday- Friday 9am to 9pm with flexibility to do two nights babysitting per week.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English, if you speak French too this would be a bonus but not a must.
Special Skills
You must have a suitable passport to be able to travel to the EU and America easily with the family. You must be an experienced housekeeper/nanny for private households.
Package Offered
£400 - £500 net p/w depending on background and experience. (£25,600 to £33,000 gross per annum)
Interview/Start date
The family is interviewing now for the position to start in September once the family have moved to the UK.
