A busy Mediterranean family based near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 are looking for a housekeeper who enjoys cooking to join their family home. This is a live in, or live out, or flex-arrangement

Family Background
A warm and friendly family with two boys aged 8 and 6, who live near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 are now looking for a new, long-term housekeeper to join their family home. They live in a three storey detached house, and have no pets. They have a a part time cleaner, but are now looking for a full time housekeeper to become a valued member of their household.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house. You will also be responsible for laundry, ironing, and ensuring that the home is generally well presented and cared for.
You should be a good team player, able to work alongside the other cleaner and perform your duties to a high standard. You should be confident with laundry and ironing as the other cleaner doesn't do this as part of her duties. You would be the senior housekeeper in the household. But a team player and willingness to get involved in all duties is key. You should have good working knowledge with fine clothing and wardrobe management.
You should be happy to do the cooking, for the whole family. They tend to cook from scratch and eat fresh, healthy Mediterranean style food so you should be confident in your cooking skills and be able to follow recipes. The food doesn't need to spicy or fancy, just healthy salads and soups and family-style cooking.
You should have strong initiative and an eye for detail, the house is beautifully cared for, so you need to be able to come in, and keep the standards strong. The house is over three floors so you should be happy with stairs. You should be happy to run errands and lend a hand with duties, and once a week there will be babysitting (when agreed in advance) but the boys are very independent and need just a friendly supervision on these evenings.
You should be hardworking and efficient, with a reliable and trustworthy approach. The family value honesty, discretion and hard workers.
Location/Accommodation
The family live Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6. You can live in if you wish, and a private studio is available for you for your sole use it's own en suite and kitchenette. You can also have a flexi arrangement and live out at the weekends, or you can commute each day, but you must be local in order to do this for ease of the commute.

- Monday – Friday
- 8am - 7pm with a hour lunch break
- Babysitting once a week when agreed in advance (paid as overtime)
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family. The family also speak Greek.
Special Skills
You must be highly organised and have great attention to detail in relation to the housekeeping. You should be a confident cook, be looking for a long-term role. If you drive a car can be provided which is an automatic car.
