A down to earth family near Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6, are looking for a full-time housekeeper to join their friendly and welcoming housekeeping team. This is a live-in role. You must have a full driving licence for this role.
Package Offered
- £30,000 - £35,000 gross per year depending on experience
- A stunning 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage will be provided for you to live in
Family Background
The family live near Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6. They live in a beautiful stately home that is open to the public for part of the year and often have shoot weekends. They also have three daily housekeepers including the head housekeeper, and a grounds person, so you should be happy to work as part of a friendly team. The family also own beloved dogs so you should be happy to be around animals for this role.
Duties
As a housekeeper, you will undertake daily duties to maintain the household. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms, organising and cleaning the kitchen, and generally keeping all areas of the house clean and organised. You will be responsible for the family’s laundry & ironing is up to date.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working experienced and committed housekeeper. Being active and reliable is essential for this role, along with previous experience of working in private households and as part of a team.
Location/Accommodation
The main family home is near Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN6. This is a live-in role and you will be provided with a stunning 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage. The client is open to you bringing a partner and pets but no cats.
Days/Hours
- Your normal working week will be Monday – Friday
- 8am – 5pm (1 hour break for lunch)
- 40 hours per week
- You should be flexible and will get time off in lieu for any overtime worked.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should have good experience working as a housekeeper in a private household.
