A family who live and work in the beautiful Northamptonshire county are looking for an experienced housekeeper who is child friendly to live in with the family. Due to the location you should hold a full driving licence (automatic is fine).
Family Background
The family live in a village in Northamptonshire. The father works full time from his home office and the mother doesn't work. They have three children, 6, 4 and 2, with another baby due in late August. Their 6 and 4 year old attend full time school, and from September the 2 year old will be going to nursery. They have two Labradors, and they travel as a family. They live in a beautiful 7 bedroom farm house which they have converted over the years, with large grounds and outbuildings. They have had a live out nanny and housekeeper for many years, but they are now looking for a long-term housekeeper to live with their family to be a valued and loved member of the family for many years to come. They travel occasionally and lead a healthy and fun lifestyle. The grounds are managed by the gardeners and robot mowers(!).
Duties
60% of your duties will be focused on housekeeping and 40% will be in childcare. As the mother doesn't work, she is actively involved with family life, but understandably needs an extra pair of hands, so you should be comfortable in shared charge as well as sole charge. If you have baby experience this is a huge plus. You'll be in charge of all the housekeeping, laundry, linen, vacuum, mopping, and general household management. Helping mum with school drop off and collection and taking children to after school activities. Part of your duties will be walking the dog once or twice a week, so you should enjoy the country life! Occasional babysitting is also included, and in the future as the children grow you may be asked to travel with them on holidays. There will be very rare cooking as the mother loves to cook, and you should love country life. The family are keen to find a long term lovely person to join their family unit.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in a village in Northamptonshire. You'll be provided beautiful separate accommodation in a converted barn on the family grounds. This is a private entrance, bathroom, kitchen, bathroom, with air conditioning and beautifully furnished.
Days/Hours
Tuesday to Saturday. 8am - 2pm and then 4pm - 7pm. One of the days will be a half day, finishing at 2pm (this will vary each week).
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You must be able to drive due to the location of the property - you will be given a Range Rover to drive (fully automatic).
Package Offered
