** SALARY INCREASE ** A family of 2 who live in Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York 10128, are looking for a new, long-term live in experienced chef / housekeeper to join their family home. You should be willing and able to travel with the family both domestically and internationally. You must already have the legal right to work in the USA to apply for this position.
Package Offered
- $50,000 - $80,000 plus gross per year, depending on experience, the client will pay a higher salary for the right person.
- Accommodation and food.
- Car for work use only.
Family Background
A professional mother and her 4 year old son. Are looking for an experienced chef / housekeeper to cook and look after their home. You will travel with them both domestically and internationally, you may be away for up to 2 months in the summer. The mother works from home running her own business and works around her son, so there is no child care involved in the position. The property is 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The son has an extreme peanut allergy and peanuts cannot be in the house at all. They do not have any pets.
Duties
Your main focus will be on the cooking and housekeeping for the family.
You will also be expected to prepare and cook healthy simple meals for the family. You should be happy to follow a recipe or be shown new dishes. Due to the son’s peanut allergy peanuts cannot be in the house.
You will be responsible for all deep cleaning and day to day cleaning, laundry and ironing.
You should be happy to run errands and do the grocery shopping.
Location/Accommodation
The family are based in Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York 10128, you will be provided with your own private bedroom and bathroom.
You should be willing and able to travel with the family both domestically and internationally. You may be away with the family for up to 2 months in the summer.
Days/Hours
7am to 7pm with breaks - 5 days per week, working days to include Saturday and Sunday as the family are most busy then. The family are happy to be flexible regarding the which two days are taken off during the week.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have strong cookery skills.
You should be an all rounder in housekeeping/laundry skills.
A full driving licence would be a bonus (a car can be provided for work use only)
You should have a suitable passport and papers to be able to travel with the family domestically and internationally. You may be away with the family travelling for up to 2 months in the summer.
You must already have the legal right to work in the USA to apply for this position.
