A warm and friendly family near Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM22 are looking for a full-time housekeeper. This is a role suited to anyone looking to enter the domestic industry so if you have a background in private homes/hotels or other hospitality areas the client is open to considering applications. Due to location must have a full driving license for this role and be able to commute to the property each day.

Family Background
The family have three children aged 6 years old, 7 years old, and 13 years old. They live in a stunning estate surrounded by gardens. They have horses and ducks on the estate. They have a team of internal staff who work in the house and are looking for a skilled housekeeper to join their team. This is a fully staffed household and you should be happy working as part of a team, be willing to muck in and ensure that duties are performed to the highest standard each day.
Duties
You should be happy to be involved in all aspects of housekeeping, including the care of antiques and fine furnishings, and be able to clean and care for the home guided by the current team of staff who work in the property.
You will share responsibility for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable including making beds, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen. You will also be expected to perform all the family’s laundry and ironing. They have commercial laundry facilities which you will be able to use for daily duties. You should be happy to follow direction from the house manager and respect the privacy of the family.
The successful candidate will be polite, with a proactive attitude and a willingness to stay in a long-term role with a friendly family.
Location
The family are located near Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM22. This is a live-out role and you should be able to commute easily.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday to Friday
- Working 8am – 4:30pm with some flexibility to assist when the family are entertaining.
- Additional hours worked paid as overtime or time off in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should be confident in all housekeeping duties and have a can-do attitude.
