A High Net Worth Male Principal and his family are seeking an experienced Estate Manager to join their team of staff based in Siena Italy. You must speak both Italian and English, you must also hold a full driving licence.
An American principal who has a large estate outside of Siena including an art foundation, olive groves and vineyard. This is the principle and his wife’s retirement home and they have a newly renovated 8 bedroom property which they will occupy with their 2 grown children and a small King Charles spaniel for approximately 6 months of the year. As the home is newly renovated you will be responsible for setting up the household completely, recruiting all staff, drivers, chefs etc. You should be experienced in running a household and estate.
You should be highly professional, capable as an Estate Manager. You will manage the whole estate including the vineyard and olive groves as well as overseeing the household staff. You must be flexible and reliable as plans change frequently, and often at short notice. You will need to demonstrate a solid background in management within the private sector, have excellent communication skills. You should be a well presented, professional and discreet individual who will be able to manage all the principles affairs in Italy.
When they are at home they require a confident and capable Estate Manager. Therefore you should be an incredible team player, willing to work hard alongside the other staff to create an effortless and well managed environment and committed to a long term position. You should be able to make the possible, possible and have a great attitude and approach to your duties.
You will be provided with a staff apartment on the estate.
This is a full time position and will be intense for the 6 months the principles are in residence.
A high level of English and Italian is required.
You must hold a full driving licence. Total professionalism, management skills and a high level of discretion and ability to work well with others. A knowledge of olive groves, olive oil and vineyards would be an advantage but not essential.
Between £35-70K gross p/a depending on experience.
