Family Background
A private family of 4 (parents and two children ages 13 and 9) live in Cambridge, CB2. The family have a Retriever pet dog so you should be happy to be around animals. They enjoy Asian (Pan Asian-Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean), Indian and Western (American, Mexican, Italian) cuisine so it is vital that you are confident and are highly skilled in these cuisines.
Duties
You will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of daily meals. There is a strong focus on Asian and Indian cuisine but you should be happy to experiment with different styles of cooking too. You will also monitor and replenish food supplies and equipment for the household. On a day-to-day basis, you will prepare all meals for the family and occasionally for guests too.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and keeping it in good condition, cleanings all surfaces and floors after use, keeping pots, pans and all work surfaces well cleaned and polished. You will also ensure that the ovens and refrigerators are clean and out-of-date items are discarded.
Location
This is a role in Cambridge, CB2, and is a live-out role. You should be within easily commutable distance.
Days/Hours
- 6-day work week (Sun-Fri)
- 9 am to 8 pm (with a 1 hour break each day)
Languages
You must speak a good level of English
Special Skills
You should be a skilled Chef and able to comply with all Hygiene, Health & Safety Legislation requirements.
