A lovely couple in their early 70s are looking for an experienced Cook/Houseman or Cook/Housewoman for a live in role in their stunning countryside home near Newbury. RG20, Berkshire. You must have a full, clean driving licence to apply for this role.

Family Background
This is a lovely couple in their 70s who live with their two friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback Dogs in their large, 6 bedroom property with gardens and land. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren who come and go over the weekends. They have two gardeners and a daily cleaner. They currently have a houseman who has been with them for a long time, he is leaving in the summer and they are now looking for someone to replace him. The family would be open for a couple to live in the cottage, but the role is for 1 person only.
Duties
All tasks include looking after the dogs on a daily basis and also dog sitting when the couple is out. Maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of the cars. Driving the couple and picking up family and friends where needed. Upkeep and maintenance of 2 swimming pools. Simple but fresh cooking for the couple - and visitors when they are around. On Fridays you will prep food for the family to use over the weekend - especially if they have guests. You should also keep the kitchen neat and tidy and take care of larder/shopping where needs be. House sitting when the couple is out. Upkeep of the house, eg cleaning and maintenance of the chandeliers, repainting furniture etc where needs be. No major cleaning or housekeeping as they have a daily cleaner who also does the laundry, but you will be expected to keep the house tidy and organised.
Location/Accommodation
The family home is located in RG20 near Newbury, Berkshire. You will be given a lovely two bedroom furnished cottage on the grounds with its own entrance.
Days/Hours
Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm with 1.5hr lunch break. Occasional work on the weekends if and when needed.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the couple and the rest of the staff.
Special Skills
You should have a full clean driving licence. You should have previous experience working in high end private households in similar roles.

The client is looking for the right person to start from the beginning of June.
