A lovely female principal with three children (aged 18, 15 and 9) is looking for a new long-term member of staff to join her country estate near Basingstoke, RG26, Hampshire. This is a live in role with full accommodation provided (own cottage). You must have a full, driving licence to apply for this role.

Family Background
This is a lovely mother who is going through a separation with her husband. They have three children, aged 18, 15 and 9. The 18 and 15 year olds are at full time boarding school and the 9 year old attends a school five minutes up the road. The main family property is a beautiful 8 bedroom home, with only two of the bedrooms used regularly, and with beautiful grounds and outbuildings. The property is on the market for sale, and when the mother does move, she will be downsizing but staying in the area. She will be buying a new property for her and her children, with a separate staff accommodation like in this current property. The family had a domestic couple who worked for them for many years, but they have recently gotten married and decided to change careers. They have three dogs (two labradors and a dachshund), two outside farm cats, two ponies, six Polo ponies and a guinea pig!
Duties
This is a part time role, and your role should be focused on both house and grounds. You should be fit and active and enjoy country life. Your first focus will be on the family home, keeping it clean, well managed and tidy, with a good attention to detail on the cleaning. You'll also need to take care of some grounds work (light gardening) and also driving the small tractor to take the horses hay, and help with mucking out. The mother recently had surgery on her shoulder so she is limited in the physical tasks she can perform. The horse work is optional, but if you enjoy horses then this would be added into the normal duties. You should also be happy to undertake some driving, errands and occasional drop off/pick up from the local school for the 9 year old if the mum has another appointment. You may be asked to do occasional babysitting when agreed in advance. You should be happy to just get involved in family life, and when the family are away, take charge of the security of the house and care of the animals.
Location/Accommodation
The family home is located in RG26 near Basingstoke, Hampshire. You will be given a lovely furnished cottage on the grounds with its own entrance. The top floor of this cottage has one room which is currently used as a home office, but this is rarely used. You'll also be provided with a manual car. Once the mother moves, the staff accommodation will likely downsize, so for this reason she is ideally only considering single applications, but she is happy to consider people with pets (no dogs).
Days/Hours
Working a 24 hour week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 7:30 - 10:30am and then 3:30-6:30pm. With Wednesday completely off. You may be asked to do occasional babysitting when agreed in advance.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family
Special Skills
You should have a full driving licence. You should be happy to undertake external grounds work alongside with housekeeping duties.
