A professional family based in Kensington, London, W10, are looking for an all-rounder Live in OR Live out Housekeeper for their beautiful home and work for their family.
Package Offered
- Up to £75,000 gross per year (depending on experience)
- Working 5.5 days a week.
Family Background
A European family of five, mum and dad have three children aged 5, 3 and 1. They have two full-time nannies who look after the children, and another full-time cleaner who works at the property. It's a beautifully appointed home, with six bedrooms over four storeys. They have a busy family life, with no pets, and enjoy having their home cared for to the highest degree. They are keen to find a flexible, long-term member of staff to join their family home.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a very high standard, with great attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house. You will also be responsible for wardrobe management, laundry, ironing, organising cupboards and ensuring that the home is generally well presented and cared for.
You should be organized and adaptive, able to report any areas of repair to contractors and manage the upkeep of this. You will be in charge of ordering and organizing groceries and household supplies.
You should be happy to do the cooking, and be a keen, experienced cook providing family-style, Mediterranean type healthy meals. You won't be expected to cook every day, but when the family are in residence you'll need to be comfortable in the kitchen.
You will also be able to run errands and help with day to day household management, and have strong care of clothing, from wardrobe management and dealing with fine garments and linens.
You should be happy to travel with the family, and hold an EU or British passport, and be looking for a long-term role.
Location/Accommodation
The family home is in Kensington, London, W10. If you choose to live in you will be given your own bedroom and bathroom (with own entrance) in the family home. If you live out you should be within easily commutable distance to the property.
Days/Hours
- 5.5 days a week, with 1.5 days off.
- Flexibility to adjust the working days, and the family may ask for some weekend cover, but this will be agreed in advance
- 7am - 7pm, with 2-3 hour rest during the day
- Excellent overtime rate.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family. If you speak Spanish this is a bonus but not required.
Special Skills
You must be extremely organised and have great attention to detail. You should enjoy cooking and preparing healthy food. Most importantly, you should be warm and friendly and looking for a long-term role. If you drive this is a bonus but not required.
