Two busy families based near Northleach, Gloucestershire, GL54 are looking for a new Housekeeper to join their family home. Their current housekeeper does mornings with one family and afternoons with their neighbour, to make one full-time role. This role is available as one full time role or two part time roles, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Due to the rural location, you must have your own car to commute to the properties.
Package Offered
For full time role:
- £30,000 - £33,000 gross per year
- 36 hours a week
For part time roles:
- £16 - £17.60 gross per hour
- 20 hours per week in the morning or 16 hours per week in the afternoon
Family Background
Two busy families who live next door to each other currently share their much-loved housekeeper who is sadly leaving due to a change in personal circumstances. Both families live in a stunning countryside property of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and love the countryside life! It is essential that you are an animal lover as they both have lots of animals – from horses, birds, chickens, and three much-loved dogs. They have a great attitude and life but need an extra pair of hands to help with family life!
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with good attention to detail. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house including organising the house and picking up and organizing cupboards.
You should have a pro-active, positive attitude, with an ability to get stuck in to busy family life and enjoy mucking in with the family and daily running of the house. You should be happy to run errands, arrange the online shopping order, let contractors in, do occasional school runs and typically think on your feet. The families are warm and friendly and the current housekeeper is very sad to leave.
If you are happy to cook this is a bonus but not required. You should be happy to help with the children in terms of occasional babysitting if required.
You should be professional, polite and easy-going with a commitment to a long-term role with the families.
Location
This is a live-out role so you should be within an easily commutable distance to Northleach, Gloucestershire, GL54. Due to the rural location, you must have your own car to commute to the properties.
Days/Hours
For full time role:
- 36 hours a week
- Monday to Friday with Wednesday afternoons off
- Working 8.30am to 12.30pm in one household and 1.30pm to 5.30pm at the neighbours
For part time roles:
- 20 hours per week in the morning
- Monday to Friday
- Working 8.30am to 12.30pm
- 16 hours per week in the afternoon
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- Working 1.30pm to 5.30pm
Languages
You must speak a good level of English in order to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should also be confident in housekeeping and very comfortable in country life – around pets etc.
