Family Background
A family of four with two teenage boys are looking for a new full-time housekeeper, as their current long-term housekeeper is sadly relocating. They live in a five bedroom, four bathroom property near Cobham in Surrey. The family also hire a gardener. The parents are busy with work, so you should feel confident in taking full responsibility for running the house. You should be animal friendly for this role as the family have two lovely medium sized dogs.
Duties
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard, with great attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms, organising and cleaning the kitchen, and generally keeping all areas of the house clean and organised. You will be responsible for the family’s wardrobe management, ensuring all laundry & ironing is up to date.
You should be happy to cook for the family. Cooking includes light lunches, dinner and making a lunch box for children. The family enjoy home-made meals like pasta, pizza, soups, curries, and other meat dishes. The principals also enjoy cooking and will be happy to share some new recipes with the housekeeper.
You should be happy to look after the dogs, by walking and feeding them.
Location
The family are located near Cobham, Surrey, KT11. This is a live out role and you should be able to commute easily.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday to Friday
- Working 9:30am - 6:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break
- Working 40 hours a week
- You must be happy to work occasional overtime, this will either be paid or given back as time in lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be experienced at housekeeping and have an excellent eye for detail. You should enjoy cooking and be happy to cook daily for the family.
