An active family of 4 who live on a beautiful farm estate in Cassington, Oxfordshire, OX29 are looking for a positive and friendly housekeeper to join their family in a long-term role. You should have experience working in private households, either as a housekeeper or as a nanny with housekeeping duties. This is a live out role. You must have a full driving license and be a confident driver for this role due to the location of the property.
Package Offered
- £35,000 - £45,000 gross per year, depending on experience
- A car can be provided for work duties if required
Family Background
A young and relaxed family of 4 who live near Cassington, Oxfordshire, OX29 are looking for an experienced child-friendly housekeeper. This role would suit a self-motivated person who enjoys busy family life and being part of the family. The main property has 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are used as guest rooms so do not need daily care. They have two children who are 7 and 9 years old, and a beautiful, friendly Bull Mastiff dog so you should be happy to work around children and dogs for this role.
Duties
You will be responsible for the cleaning of the interior of the property. Laundry and ironing, making beds and doing the daily and deep cleaning of the main house. There may also be some requirement to clean the other properties on the estate, however these are all within easy walking distance.
You should be happy to help with healthy cooking for the family. Health and fitness is important to them so you should be happy to cook a variety of healthy meals.
As part of your duties, you will assist with school drop off and pick up – both children go to the same school. You should also be happy to help them with their homework after school.
The family dog does not need regular walking as he runs free in the fenced grounds of the property and likes to sleep a lot. However, you should be happy to be around big dogs for this role.
Location
The family live in Cassington, Oxfordshire, OX29. The property is easy to get to by car and there is parking available. You should be in easily commutable distance.
Days/Hours
- Monday – Friday, working 40 hours each week.
- 11am/12pm - 7pm/8pm, with some flexibility
- Any hours worked over your 40 hours per week will be paid as overtime.
Languages
A good level of English is required for this role in order to be able to communicate with the family and help the children with their homework.
Special Skills
You should have experience of working in private households and be dedicated and reliable. You should enjoy being part of a busy family life and have a can-do attitude. You must have a full driving license and be a confident driver for this role.
