A private family in Cambridge, CB2, are looking for a highly experienced and hardworking Housekeeper to join their team. You should have a full driving licence for this role.
Package Offered
- £30,000 - £35,000 gross per year
- Monday - Friday (40 hours a week)
- Occasional evenings and/or weekends (will be paid in overtime)
Family Background
The family live in Cambridge, CB2. The family have a Retriever pet dog so you should be happy to be around animals. They also have a chef and a head housekeeper so you should be happy to work as part of a friendly team.
Duties
Reporting to House Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for the complete care and cleaning of the home to a high standard. Duties are wide-ranging from all cleaning & laundry tasks to grocery shopping, pet care and occasional childcare. Including:
- Clean and tidy bathrooms, bedrooms, dining areas, gym, hallways, kitchen, living spaces, study room and all other areas inside the property. Vacuum and mop floors. Scrub, wax, and/or polish floors if necessary.
- Clean blinds, carpets, draperies, rugs, and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaner and/or cleaning agents.
- Clean and dry bathrooms including bathtub, mirror, shower stall, sink and toilet seat. • Ensure bathroom supplies and toiletries are replenished and well stocked.
- Clean and tidy patios and all areas outside the property
- Make beds and stow personal items away in designated closet or storage areas.
- Change bed linens as required.
- Keep all household appliance and equipment in good working condition. Check and report damage, if any.
- Laundry, pressing and wardrobe management
- Observe good health and food hygiene when preparing meals and refreshments.
- Pet care including walking and feeding and taking to the groomers/vets
- Drive children to school/activities, support them in their day-to-day needs, and supervise them on occasion when parents are away
- Work with household staff to prepare for visitor’s arrival, e.g. get ready rooms, etc. as well as events and parties hosted by the family
Location/Accommodation
This is a role in Cambridge, CB2, and is a live-out role. You should be within easily commutable distance.

Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should have good experience working as a housekeeper in a private HNW household.
