A lovely family based near Redditch, B95, Worcestershire are looking for a new, long-term housekeeper. This is a live in role. You must hold a driving licence to apply for this role.

- £25-30,000 gross per year

Family Background
A lovely family, they live on a large 100 acre plot of land. The couple has a daughter who is 2 years old, she attends nursery for two afternoons a week. They have four dogs and four outside cats, and multiple groundsmen who work on the land. The husband works from the property, with his office in an outbuilding on the land. Their main residence has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with beautifully furnished rooms. Including a large drawing room, dinning room, sitting room, kitchen and diner area, and a gym, with bathrooms and bedrooms. Their current long term housekeeper is due to retire, and they are now looking for a new, long-term member of staff.
Duties
The main duties for this role are to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standard. This includes the main property and the office which is on the land. You should be confident and skilled at housekeeping duties, including cleaning, ironing, washing, supporting the other staff, taking delivery of the food, unpacking and general house management. You should be happy to run errands, go to the dry cleaners etc. If the family go away at the weekend, then you would be expected to stay at the property to care for the animals, but would be given time off in lieu, and given notice of these weekends. You don't need to look after the daughter directly as this is the mum's role, but you can lend a hand if asked, and you should be comfortable around children. There may be occasional travel with the family. There is no cooking for this role. You should have a flexible, adaptive and easy-going attitude, happy to get involved in family life. You should be well presented, happy to greet guests and help with the daily life and routine of the family.
You should be skilled at laundry, care of delicate fabrics and ironing and pressing.
Location/Accommodation
This is a live in position. If you wish you can live out, and you should be able to commute easily to the Redditch area, B95, Worcestershire. Private accommodation on the family grounds will be provided. They have a converted annex above the garage which will be your private space, with it's own entrance.
Days/Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. Typically the working hours are 8am - 5pm each day.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should be kind and focused looking for a long-term role. Good at laundry and ironing, able to care for delicate fabrics.
