A down to earth family with teenage children based near Andover, Hampshire, SP11 are looking for a full-time housekeeper to join their family home.
Package Offered
- £27,000 - £35,000 gross per year.
- Monday to Friday, 45 hour week.

Background
A warm and down to earth family who have 2 children (aged 14 & 17 years old), they live in a beautiful property in the countryside of Hampshire and are looking for a full time housekeeper to help with the upkeep of their home. Holidays tend to be very busy in the household and then when the children go back to boarding school the house is a lot quieter. They have one much-loved dog, and are looking to get a second so you must be happy around animals for this role.
Duties
You should ensure the home is kept organised, clean and tidy and to high standards, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks. Your duties will include making beds and changing linens, sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors. You will also be responsible for the laundry, ironing and dry cleaning where required. Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies. Running errands and organising the home – if you can drive you will be provided with a car for running errands when needed.
You should be a self-starter, and looking for a long-term role. Wiling to adjust to daily family life. When the children are home from school during the holidays the house is much busier, and then during term time it will be quieter, so you should be happy to adjust as per the families needs. You should be happy to help with the dog and stay over to look after them when the family travel.
Cooking is required as part of the role, able to follow a recipe – the family enjoy simple, home-cooked food. It's a busy household, with a great family environment, so you should be flexible, and not a clock watcher - happy to adjust each week for the schedule of the family.
Location/Accommodation
The family lives near Andover, Hampshire, SP11. You will be provided with your own private accommodation of a studio flat if you choose to live in. The family are open to pets and partners in the property – but your partner should find their own work in the area.
If you live out you should be within easily commutable distance and happy to stay over and look after the dogs when the family travel.
Days/Hours
Monday to Friday, 45 hour week. With the flexibility to do additional hours when required. Any days/hours worked outside of this will be given as time off in lieu.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should have good previous experience as a housekeeper and must have high attention to detail. You should be discreet and have good communication skills. You should be able to cook simple and healthy food.
