A great family of four based in Woodbury, Long Island, New York, 11797 USA are looking for a housekeeper. The family can offer live in or live out, and are also happy with flexi-arrangement (live in during the week and live out at the weekend). This is a 30 hour a week job. You should have the full legal right to work in the USA.
Package Offered
- $600-700 a week / $31,200 - $36,400 gross per year

Family Background
The American family, who are down to earth and easy going, consist of a mother and father and two children aged 4 and 7. They have two large dogs (German Shepherd) who are very friendly and well trained. They have had a full time housekeeper for the last six months, but due to unforeseen circumstances she had had to move on, so the family are keen to find someone who is happy to commit to their family in a long-term role. They live in a large property, but only four bedrooms are regularly used, and the family have devised a realistic schedule that takes into account the time of the housekeeper and the size of the property which is split over three floors.
Duties
Your duties will be split between housekeeping and light childcare duties. You should be also child friendly and happy to help with the children if the parents need some extra help, but the focus is on the housekeeping.
If you cook this is a bonus, but not required. You should have an eye for detail, be happy to undertake hoovering, dusting, mopping, laundry, changing the beds, cleaning the kitchen and the bathrooms. The children attend full time school and summer camps, but when they are home the house is busier, so the busy periods of each day are the mornings and late afternoon/evening. Here you will lend a hand with tidying up and making sure the house is clean and tidy. You should be fit and healthy and happy to get fully involved in family life.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in the beautiful Woodbury, Long Island, New York 11797, USA. They are happy to offer live in, live out or flexi-arrangement (live in during the week and live out during the weekend). If you live in then you'll be given a private part of the house which is fully self contained, with a private staircase. It has been beautifully furnished and has all the mod-cons including air conditioning etc.
Days/Hours
- 5 days a week. Monday - Friday.
- Start at 8am and finish at 7pm
- Each day, you'll have long breaks during the middle of the day. You'll typically work between 8-12, and then start work again at 3-7pm, so around 7 hours per day (35 hours per week).
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.

If you drive this is a bonus but it is not required. You should have the legal right to work in the USA.
