Family Background
This family comprises of parents and three children, a daughter aged 12 and two older children who attend school and university away from home. They have no pets. They live in a stunning newly renovated townhouse, the home is set across five floors and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The top floor is dedicated to the two older children, so there is no daily need to manage this space. The home is furnished will all new luxury furnishings, with some fine art and antiques.
Duties
The home has recently been renovated with a large extension newly added, and has been fitted with luxury furnishings throughout. You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be in charge of the daily upkeep and deep cleaning of the home and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning the kitchen & bathrooms, and tidying up all areas of the house. You should also be confident in taking care of the laundry and ironing for the family.
You should be happy to run some errands, light shopping, trips to the post office, dry cleaners etc.
The successful candidate must be happy to cook for the family. The family enjoy eating a variety of healthy dishes, including fish, seafood, vegetarian meals, steak, and salads.
Our client is looking for a discreet, proactive, and hands on housekeeper to care for their home. You should have initiative but also take direction well when needed. It is essential that you are highly organised as the family enjoy a very neat and tidy home.
Location
The family home is near Primrose Hill, London, NW1. This role is live out so you must be able to commute easily.
Days/Hours
- Working 9am - 5pm, overall 40 hours per week
- You should be happy to do occasional hours of overtime (for babysitting), this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu. The client is happy to subsidise any travel home on these occasions.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English to communicate with the family. The successful candidate will have good written and verbal English.
Special Skills
You should be an organised, experienced and skilled housekeeper. You should be self-motivated will excellent initiative and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have good written and verbal English.
